Net One Systems becomes Japan's first provider of PCIDSS compliant service
Providing security service based on credit card industry standard

Net One Systems Co., Ltd. ("Net One Systems") (headquarters: Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Osamu Sawada) commences sales of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCIDSS") compliant support system based on a credit card industry standard.

• PCIDSS features

PCIDSS is a standard developed by renowned international credit card companies, VISA and MasterCard to ensure minimal standard for handling confidential information such as credit card membership information and transaction information for credit card business related companies.

In comparison to ISMS (footnote 1), PCIDSS has following features:
1. Not limited to a particular division within a company. Standard serving as a guideline for comprehensive supply chain encompassing credit card usage.
2. Clearly defines the assets to protect.
3. Clearly states the compliance requirements.
4. Emphasis on network security.

• The effect of PCIDSS implementation
  
  There are increasing numbers of companies concerned over maintaining balance between security reinforcement and maintaining or improving productivity. PCIDSS, a new security standard developed by credit card industry, allows security measures comparable to credit card industry standard through reasonable investment.
