Net One Systems establishes Expert Operation Center (XOC) to provide integrated operation service

Net One Systems Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Osamu Sawada; hereinafter, Net One Systems) announced the establishment of Expert Operation Center providing integrated operation service in collaboration with its group company, Network Service And Technologies, Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo, President &Representative Director: Katsutoshi Ichikawa; hereinafter, NSAT).

Expert Operation Center (hereinafter, XOC) offers unsurpassed integrated and centralized high value added operation service for operation and security maintenance of customer information assets such as networks, servers/storages, and IP telephony. There are no restrictions based upon installation sites, configuration or features of supporting information assets and the task is centrally performed by the companyfs experts by utilizing IP networks.

In addition to the existing Network Operation Center (NOC), Net One Systems and NSAT established Security Operation Center (SOC) within XOC on August 1, 2006 to provide comprehensive security service.Additionally, the companies are working together to establish Voice Operation Center (VOC scheduled for November 2006 establishment) and ServerStorageOperationCenter (SSOC: scheduled for March 2007 establishment).

By providing centralized service without limiting the category of service products and ensuring 24 hours per day 365 days per year of stable operation based on the companiesf advanced operation and monitoring skills, the companies maximize reliability and economic efficiency of the userfs network environment and support next generation network service.

  • XOC fundamentally solves operational issues

Previously established information networks were comprised based on product category such as network equipment, telephones, and server/storage networks for intermediating physical locations and data. Therefore, operational systems were segmented and different managers were assigned to different networks. However, the realization of interconnection of these products using IP networks poses new challenges as the current operational system imposes restrictions on comprehensive management of the total system and fault isolation in case of failure, and to achieve stable operation, costly uninterrupted assignment of different managers with different expertise is required.

XOC offers a fundamental solution to these challenges. For the user, system operation outsourcing releases information system manager from operational work and enables the manager to concentrate on more strategic and higher productivity work.XOC provides detailed architecture management and change management through uninterrupted monitoring and maintains robust integrative security level capable of complying with J-SOX Act.By coordinating with 163 service locations nationwide to provide service parts delivery and onsite services, in addition to ensuring 24 hours per day, 365 days a year stable operation, the companies contribute to operational cost effectiveness.

  • SOC Features and Service Menu

In order to maintain uninterrupted highly secure information system, the customer needs integrative system operation and continual monitoring of event logs. However, for many users, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year operation and monitoring of system which is subject to various types of threats are difficult to achieve considering the cost, operational workload, and the need to secure skilled engineers.

Net One Systemsf SOX is not just a system operation outsourcing service. In addition to placing no limitations on supporting device or softwarefs physical installation site, configuration, or features, SOX provides user selected services to efficiently offer comprehensive service at reduced operational cost.

Highly specialized engineers who are continually monitoring while coordinating with services such as alive monitoring and feature monitoring services provided by Network Operation Center enable prompt identification of system abnormality and response to a network attack from outside. These measures effectively ensure security and reliability of information assets.
