Net One Systems (headquarters: Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Osamu Sawada) acquires Japan Cyberspace Corporation's security business related consultation, system development and system operation. The assignment is effective October 1, 2005.
■ Background for acquisition of business and future development
In addition to formerly mainstream external security measures against cyber attacks, in recent years, the needs for security measures to protect informational assets from organizations' internal attacks and negligence are on the rise. The establishment of information security management system※1 to comprehensively address the issues of assuring safety and peace of mind has become a social demand and network features and architectures that are easy to manage in accordance with the security policy※2 are required.
However, relative to increase in security, problems of declined user convenience and network performance may surface. Additionally, as a result of repeated sectional replacements and installations, increased system complexity may place greater operational burden on the system managers.
To solve these problems, establishment of appropriate security policy based on consultation, creating network architecture through considering operational procedures after the installation and highly flexible service provisions are imperative. In spite of the need to address these issues, with the sudden increase in demand for security, there has been a shortfall of highly trained technical personnel and there has been an urgent need to enhance solution provisions.
Japan Cyberspace Corporation is a pioneer in the field of security consulting business and electronic authentication service※3 operations, retains highly skilled personnel and has extensive experience. Through acquiring Japan Cyberspace Corporation's business, Net One Systems aims to increase consulting and operational management services, and enhance value added security solution to advance corporate competitiveness and increase customer satisfaction level.

For customers already receiving services from Japan Cyberspace and are applicable to Net One Systems assignment, provided that applicable customers consent to transfer services to Net One Systems, Net One Systems will continue to provide services.

System to continually improve information security level through repeatedly reviewing Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle and performing risk analysis and evaluation of technical policy implementation, information asset, and operation/management based on security policy.

Categorize informational assets based on level of importance from overall corporate perspective and to secure security at appropriate levels, determine the managers and decision makers and clarify the responsibilities of various divisions and operational methods.
※ 3 Electronic authentication service
Agency retaining authentication system and encryption system to issue electronic certificates to verify that the person or entity on the network is indeed that person or entity.
※ 4 Hosting service
Service providing operational management to web servers and database servers through using shared servers while using content management features and firewall's access restrictions.
※ 5 Housing service
Service undertaking architecture, creation, and operational maintenance of client systems at iDCs (Internet Data Centers) having physical security measures already in place.
