Net One Systems Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shinagawa, Tokyo; President & CEO: Osamu Sawada) gained exclusive distribution right of USA based NetScaler, Inc.'s (headquarters: San Jose, CA, USA) application delivery system, NetScaler9000 Series. Net One will commence sales of the products from July 20.
NetScaler 9000 Series is a single network appliance that solves the problems of delay in web application processing, increased server load, and vulnerability of the security for everything from Internet portals to corporate networks. NetScaler 9000 Series realizes accelerated safe web application usage at low cost, reduced initial investment and management load and greatly increased end user satisfaction.
Net One focused on the application oriented networking that processes packets through awareness of contents of various applications. Net One aims to maximize cost performance of the total network through accumulating experience and know-how of creating network systems most suitable for web application usage.
■Transition to application oriented networks
In traditional packet oriented networks, relative to surge in data traffic and large contents, increasing speed and broadbandization of networks were commonly performed to increase packet processing capacity. However, merely increasing packet processing capacity of network infrastructure led to delay as server application processing became a bottle neck and to solve this problem, additional server installations were required. This led to an enormous increase in investment.
Application oriented network is advocated as a new system that solves the aforementioned problem. This network appropriately processes the traffic through packet level awareness of web applications including IP communication, electric commerce and information sharing.
