■Significance of Information Security Management
Repeated incidents of large-scale customer data exposures have increased the concerns on handling confidential information. As our company handles important information such as backbone network information and customer information, in an unlikely event of information leakage, not only will there be a large damage, but the company will unavoidably face a grave loss of public trust. In addition, as Information Privacy Law will be completely in effect starting April 2005, the law will require establishment of comprehensive information management system. The company concluded that establishment of company wide Information Security Management System (ISMS) that also serves to indicate the company's commitment to deployment of comprehensive security system was urgently needed and decided to attain the certifications.
■Future Plans
Net One will continue to increase certified sections within the company and the company, as a whole will actively enhance information security measures. Additionally, as a network solution provider, the company will provide know-how and most advanced technologies relating to security management in order to achieve high corporate reliability and increase convenience for management and usage of customer information assets.
