Net One Systems commences sales of EqualLogic Inc.'s PeerStorage with
iSCSI connectivity automatic volume management and load balancing features to realize drastic curtailment of operational management cost

Starting December 17, 2003, Net One Systems Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shinagawa-ku,Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazuo Sato) will commence sales of PeerStorage Array 100E (hereinafter, "PeerStorage"), EqualLogic, Inc.'s high cost performance IP storage area network (hereinafter, "IP-SAN") product that supports iSCSI (Internet SCSI) connectivity. Net One will be the first to offer products from EqualLogic in Japan.

Newly developed PeerStorage resolves various issues including high deployment cost and cumbersome operational management associated with network storage provisioning and realizes cost effective network for mid-range storage market. By using iSCSI next generation technology, in comparison to deploying conventional products, in addition to decreased SAN deployment cost, TCO associated with new storage deployment is drastically reduced with uninterrupted usage of existing IP network architecture and operational procedures. Additionally, with the PeerStorage's seamless managing feature, operational management cost is drastically reduced. Each array offers redundancy, automatic load balance, RAID, and back-up, and by adding new arrays, the product is scalable to meet storage capacity of 80 Tera Byte.

By integrating broadband network and storage, Net One will offer storage networking solution that incorporates storage integration, disc based back up system, data communication between multiple sites, and remote replication for disaster contingency.
Through deployment of IP-SAN, Net One will continue to promote advancement and deployment of IP network

■IP-SAN using PeerStorage

PeerStorage is a highly intelligent system. In spite of data increase after deployment, with PeerStorage's automatic load balancing between disks and arrays, there is no need for cumbersome data management. If storage capacity becomes inadequate, deployment of up to 32 arrays to achieve and 80TB is possible, and as the product automatically recognizes the newly added arrays as a part of preexisting storage system, scaling and changes to the architecture is very simple. By deploying PeerStorage, all storage products are efficiently and fully used and with elimination of volume management and load balancing operation previously required for each storage product, TCO is drastically reduced.
