Net One Systems Co., Ltd.
Commences sales of InfoLibria, Inc.'s contents distribution system
Develops infrastructure to support establishment of business model for content delivery

Net One Systems Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Kazuo Sato) and
InfoLibria, Inc. entered into a distribution agreement to commence sales of content distribution system,
Content Commander and MediaMall including E-Class, the CDN starter kit.
By supporting satellite multicast distribution, the system overcomes limitations imposed by Internet
backbone and enables rendering of ultra high speed, high quality streaming media. Also, through distributed
operation and centralized management center, and due to easy integration of billing, authentication, and
copyright protection features, the system facilitates establishment of platform for content delivery
business.
Through deployment of high performance, high reliability network comprised of InfoLibria products, Net One
Systems will provide technical support in creating platform for content delivery business.

Realization of distributed deployment and centralized management

Basic architecture consists of deploying Content Commander regulating the overall network at the
management center, and MediaMall systems at network edges to bundle MediaEngine, streaming servers.
Edge systems may be easily scaled at low cost through additional installation of streaming servers.
Multi-cast data delivery from the management center using satellite and land based network eliminates the
broadband constraints placed on content delivery through land based Internet network and allows one step
content distribution from a single location to thousands and millions of edge systems and ensures storage to
achieve reliable multi-casting. Not only will this reduce delivery cost to edge systems, but this system allows
for provision of high quality service such as optimization of backbone usage, increased access speed, video
image comparable to TV or sound level comparable to CD.
Content Operating System (COS) included as a standard feature in Content Commander allows for
distributed hosting ASP not practicable with conventional CDN device. Furthermore, COS Manager
included in the system centrally manages content usage status at all MediaMall connected to the network.
This system allows for creation of flexible and highly scalable architecture consisting of centralized
management location with decentralized content delivery network.
The log information gathered from edge products is configured for easy transfer to third party applications
and by integrating management functions as billing, user authentication, user profile creation, QoS
management and copyright protection, the product facilitates content distribution business platform.

Deployment case study at HitPops, Inc

InfoLibria product demonstrated its high performance and reliability through deployment of the system by
HitPops, Inc. for its HitPops service, Japan's first broadband content delivery service using satellite.
By deploying Content Commander and MediaMall at central delivery center and CATV, or ADSL locations
respectively, ultra high speed delivery most notably live streaming via satellite is enabled while marketing is
done by means of billing, authentication, copyright management and access log analysis.
There will be cooperation between Net One Systems and Network Service And Technologies (NSAT); Net
One Systems will provide deployment, network layout, and operation of InfoLibria products, and NSAT will
provide service.
