Net One Systems Co., Ltd. commences sales of Guardian Wall, a tool that prevents leakage of e-mail information


Overview :

Net One Systems announced the commencement of sales of software, Guardian Wall (developed by Sumitomo Metal System Solutions Co., Ltd.) that examines e-mail contents and prohibits inappropriate public disclosure of confidential information. Net One Systems will offer Guardian Wall as an integrated part of security measures.

Background and product features / characteristics :

About 70% of the illicit activities using the computer network are committed by corporate insiders. Especially as e-mails that provide means of achieving management efficiency and innovation in corporate internal and external operation become central element of business, the problem of outflow or leakage of important information is becoming a significant management issue. Guardian Wall examines the contents of e-mails sent from internal LAN network to the Internet and effectively detects leakage, eradicates the e-mail process, alerts the administrator, etc. The most noteworthy characteristic of Guardian Wall is that it is capable of processing on Japanese language basis, and flexibly adapting to operational process/rules of Japanese companies, thereby making the product remarkably easy to operate and manage for Japanese companies.

Target Market :

To answer to the needs of ensuring security to financial institutions, government and public offices, and other enterprises that are sensitive to leakage of corporate internal information, Net One Systems undertakes to commence sales of Guardian Wall while making use of integration, and engineering service skills. Distribution commence on February 10, 2001 and target sales volume for initial year is 50 set, totaling 300 million yen in sales.
