August 29, 2000 Net One Systems becomes Japan's sole distributor of Brix Networks' high performance Service Level Management Tools. - Realizing effective network monitoring - Overview Net One Systems signed an exclusive license with Brix Networks (headquarters: Massachusetts, USA; President & CEO: Thomas J. Pincince) and became Japan's sole distributor of the Brix Networks' Service Level Management Tools. Through cooperative effort, companies will provide Service Level Management Tools developed by Brix Networks and solutions using such tools to Japan's ISPs, carriers and enterprises. Net One Systems expects commencing sales within this year. Service Level Management solution offered by Brix Networks gathers/monitors network data to examine the network's service level and advanced network monitoring is realized through Service Level Management Tool (platform) that compares actual data for delayed time and throughput. Objective measurement of network quality and performance is attained even when there is a rapid traffic increase and the network expands in scale and complexity. This enables overall network monitoring using minimal human resources and allows prompt actions when troubles arise. Also by implementing a certain standard of SLA (Service Level Agreement,) effective network management is ensured while eliminating inadequate quality of service as well as overly excessive quality of service that unnecessarily increases the investment.
